SO, I have a total of 34 years working in "this" company. I was laid off once in 1988, "retired" in 1998... for a total of 4 years, and came back.
This Thursday (6/26/08) is my LAST DAY. I figure that having "worked" for the last 50+ years, that I deserve a "break". I have 6 children, and "almost" 3 grandchildren (3rd is gonna be SOON, VERY SOON). For the next year, I'm planning on doing what I want to do..  (or what my wife wants me to do). My E-mail address will change whenever I get a chance to activate my home E-mail.
In the mean time y'all take care of yourselves, I'll be logging on from time to time.

Hey Duffster.....it's good to hear from you. Congrats on the retirement....again! I'll be thinking about you this weekend (you know why). Now with all this extra time on your hands I hope you'll be on here more. We need your wit and wisdom.
Congrats on the Grandkids also. I suspect they will keep you busy also!

Yeah, congratulations duffy. Now that you're retired, you should start spending 'more' time here.

Congratulations duffy on your retirement but must of all, having more time to spend with the family. Especially the grandkids.
Will you be wearing out the nearest pool hall? :D

THANKS GUYS ! !
Yeah, it's been good... retire AGAIN.. if that's what you want to call it. I'll be busy with my bike, and the grandchild. My daughter (who is giving birth) lives only about 5 minutes from my "new" place. My wife hasn't given up on telling me "you're to young to retire"... I guess she wants me to be in a wheelchair, changing my "dribble bib" 6 times a day. My plan is to enjoy while I still have "some" health. Right now, I've got more aches and pains than a Mike Tyson opponent. (bring on the Advil). :D :D

Wow, Congrats Duff
Our director and I were just talking about that yesterday at our quarterly breakfast meeting. He wants to retire, I don't. Plus I get a new boss at the end of the 3rd quarter so I'm pretty happy right about now.
Here's a secrete Jon. Get a blow up doll that looks just like you and stuff it in your bed, in your shop or on your Motorcycle. Then when the wife needs a favor she'll see that you're busy doing nothing.
Yeah now you can spend more time here.
Again congrats and keep us posted of the stuff you won't be doing.
