I was looking through some old threads and I wondered if you ever found a project car? I don't have one just asking.

I did, but the guys sold it before I could come up with the money, I had part of the money but I was trying to save up for all the money, I could have gone to the bank to get the rest but I did not. He sold the 39 ford five window coupe. I left my number to get back in touch with me but he did not. What I was told the guy who has it now is asking top dollar for it, if that is the case I can't a ford it now. I guess it was not meant to happen. I am looking for a five to fifteen thousand dollar car. But the time has to be right.I have to much stuff happen here at home, manly with me and my back. If I could sale the truck and get my wife a car, she will be happy. I have a 1979, twenty seven foot SeaRay cabin cruiser that is in really nice shape that I have to put a little T.L.C. in it to make it shine that I am going to sale. Then I wait to pick up a car trailer for the long halls for the car that I get.Yes I have a lot that I would like to do before my back go's out all the way. That five window coupe was my dream car, the lines and the big finders, the shape, it is a beautiful car. And the one I was looking at was really nice, I should have but I did not. Thanks for asking, what kind for car are you looking for?

I'm not looking for one, I can't afford one. If I did get one I would like to get a 69 Nova. I had one when I was a kid and then had to sell it when they started to raise the insurance rates. I also had a 59 Vette that I keep kicking myself for selling!

I know what you mean, I had two in my younger years, a 69 Chevelle and a 73 Cuda. The Chevelle I had to sale when I went to Germany, the Cuda I sold when I moved from Fl to Az, Now I am back in Fl and kick myself also.

Tell you what, I liked the 60 Vette I had a couple of years ago but I like the C5 I bought to replace it ALOT more. Sometimes you going back isn't as much fun as you remember it.
Stopped and looked at a new 6.1 hemi Challenger, might be time to squirrel one away before MoPar goes away forever.

I'm with you Doug. I had a couple oldies and loved working on them. But driving them was pain.... unless you live in a place with minimal traffic. Atlanta is NOT one of those places.

I agree about after noon traffic, I been to Atlanta, its like L.A when it come to traffic, its rush hour there all day, did not like it, Tucson Az is like the retire area, here in Jacksonville Fl, you still have time to enjoy a ride. I have been across the south U.S.A and here in Jax to L.A , there are alot of good areas to take a road trip. Masa is real nice too. But when it comes down to it, yes all of the right things in a car-truck-suv is nice but you still have to give it gas and stear it. I have had new to old, from chev 4x4 to Opel GT, like them both but I also like to hear, hey man, that is a nice ride.

There was an interesting article in last months Motor Trend magazine about the Hemi Challenger. They took it to Europe and drove about 3000 miles. It sounded like a great trip.

I used to live in rural Georgia and drove my '53 Chevy PU or '37 Chev.Coupe to work nearly every day. Here it's impossible. Too many people, too big a of a hurry to get to the next stop light. I guess unless I move to a small town my classic cars days are over. :(

The new Camaros look nice, only seen one from a distance, and the Challengers look nice too. I used to live in Germany for about nine years, the AUTOBOND is crazy. It is different form what people say, When you get close to a city you have a speed limit but when you get away from the city and there is a good distance from city to city it is no limit. I seen some crazy stuff and when it snows it is even more crazier.
