I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 two-wheel drive pickup with a 318 c.i. motor. The problem is if I don't let the truck warm up it will sputter and backfire until it does warm up. If any one out there has any suggestions on how to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Josh

Is it fuel injected or carburated? If it has a carb it sounds like a choke problem.

Try cleaning out the throttle body, mass air sensor and check the idle air control motor for vacumn leaks at the base. All of these are common places to cause the condition you describe.
do your basics check your ign. system plugs cap ect. check vac. hoses , is your MIL light on ? ( check englight) FUEL FILTER!!! and your air filter
