When the "2 Guys" were doing Crank and Chrome, they did an episode on detailing vehicles. One of the products they used was a window polish. My car has severe water spots on every window exterior and they won't come off. I've tried every kind of glass cleaner on the market and even Coca-Cola (I heard this works sometimes). Does anyone out there know what they used or if there is another product that can take care of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never had to polish any glass myself, but I know the Eastwood Company (www.eastwoodco.com) sells a kit (item # 40011) that has a polishing compound and a polishing wheel that mounts in your drill, all for $34.99. The pieces are available separately.

I know this is a late post. But I have used Bon-Ami on my windows that had alot of water spots. Make sure you have your cloth wet, put Bon-Ami on the cloth and use circular motion like your applying wax and be sure to use plenty of elbow grease.

Have you ever heard of "CLR"...It removes Chlorine..Lime..Rust stains...give it a shot, it won't hurt glass, and I believe you don't need rubber gloves and a respirator to use it, but check the package. I use it on my glass shower door, and it does a pretty good job at getting rid of the hard water and soap scum. I usually use one of those green scrubbing pads to take the tough stuff off.

You can try CLR but don't get it on your paint or other non glass surfaces. I believe the active ingredient is phosphoric acid, not a really nasty acid but nasty enough to do harm to paint, and keep it off your hands.
