I quite often look to see who is on board when I'm surfing the Two Guys Garage website. Most of the time I see alot of nonmembers perusing the site. Well, I would like to invite you to join our membership and join in on some of our discussions. Generally we have a very knowledgable group on board and also, generally speaking, a nice bunch of members. So, please do, join in.

I heartily agree! We're fortunate to have a number of very knowledgeable folks who invest their time making helpful and meaningful contributions to this forum.
Without a doubt, I learn a little something new each time I visit, so I visit often.

Hey theyoungs97.....nice ride! It's rare and nice to see original owners of classics. Some guys just know a good thing when they have it!

I thought I'd chime in and say Hello!
I signed up like 10 to 15 minutes ago and I've already put a post up in the 'Your Own Projects' forum hoping to get an answer. It's in regards to a intake cleaner I'm looking for. Hopefully I posted it in the correct section.

Thanks for the kudos, Vetteonr! I bought the Malibu in February 1971 (it was a factory order) and I've enjoyed it to the fullest all these years. It's an unrestored 2dr hardtop, a daily driver (current mileage = 323,000), with everything mechanical still original. I've redone the seats, carpet and headliner and a had paint job done way back in 1982, but that's about all of any consequence.
Since I've taken pretty good care of it, the car still looks and runs really well. Been very lucky, I guess!

Wow, 323,000 miles! That's what good maintainence will do for you. It can't hurt to live in New Mexico also. I've got 176,000 on my Lumina APV van and I thought I was doing good.

I've changed the oil and filter every 2,000 miles since the car was new, and I suspect that helped a lot. Serviced the TH350 transmission often as well, so it still shifts like new. Last time I had the pan off, the clutches appeard to have about half their life left.
I bought the car in Ohio, then moved to Los Angeles for 10 years, so I think the time spent in that climate helped too. But here in NM the biggest problem isn't rust, it's dry rot! The sun here literally cooks everything--paint, upholstery, the dashboard, even the tires. So it's a continuing battle, but to me, the car is more than worth the effort.

I hope everyone who questions frequent oil changes reads this. What more prooof do they need?

4 out of the top 5 finishers at Daytona were Chevys. I guess all the fords were being fixed. After all, it was race day.

isn't that blue oval on the front of those wanna-be racecars?? lol :D and getting pushed aside is what happens when one doesn't move fast enough

No No NO everyone knows that two, or more cars together run faster than one (in the draft) and they always push others around a bit. You know "rubbing is racing".

Hi my name is Geoff, I am a new member and someone suggested I go here and intro myself. I live in Altoona PA, I have an '83 trans am, and '86 chevey c10, a '91 lumina (with 210,000 miles on it), and a '99 chevy balzer. I like to do my own work on my cars, do all the routine stuff and have recently done brake jobs with no problems, most advanced thing I have done is a wheel bearing/hub assembly on the '99 blazer. Got on here for a few hints on fixing some droopy doors on the blazer this afternoon, and already have a response.
