What does this symbol mean ??

I made a post and the "Envelope" along the side has a BLACK DOT in it. That symbol is not listed in the explainations at the bottom of the page. Did I post wrong??? Or is someone telling me something??

The black dot means that you have posted to that thread. If you see an envelope that does not a black dot, you may have read it but you haven't responded to it. Read a new thread, then make a post and the next time you look at the thread it will have the dot.
