Removal of Lt-1 from Z-28

I have heard that the only way to get my LT-1 our of my 1996 Camaro is to drop the entire A frame from the bottom of the car. If that be the case this car is going to the junk yard once the motor goes caput .

If there is a way to get this motor out from the top please tell me.
