Hello fellow car enthusiasts. I have a question of restoration do's and dont's, and I feel I need some opinions. As of last night I am now the prowd owner of a 1972 Nova II. I received the car for free from a friend who just doesn't have the time. The problem is that the body has a lot of cancer. In some places (I haven't seen the car in full daylight yet) the cancer is all the way through i.e. the trunk. Do you all think it is worthy of any restoration efforts?

Your opinions and thought valued immensly.

First of all, I'm no expert. But for crying out loud......it was given to you. That is an awesome start. I have no idea how bad it really is, but I say go for it. I have a 65 Mustang and would give my left arm to cure it of cancer. But hey, if you decide not to, let me know, I'll take it off your hands. J/K.......CHEWY

Do you have extra time and space for the car and parts? If so, why are you asking us! Its called a project car because it needs work. All performace vehicles are worth the time, they are getting fewer and harder to find. Consider yourself lucky to have one. Good luck and happy wrenching.

remember, restore them not crush them
