Hey All...
This is my first post so be easy on me, hehehehe.
I was wondering if anyone knew a place on the internet where I can run different auto parts numbers? I have afew heads here and afew blocks and **** I'd like to run the numbers and I don't know of any places on the net!!! Can someone please help me cause there has to be something out there. The internet is suppost to be full of useful stuff but no one can find it without asking... Anyways Thanks all and hope someone can help me out.

if they are chevy small block parts.....i can give you the info....let me know....

call your local dealership and ask for parts. Give them the last 3 letters of the vin code under the alternator. The will tell ya what year and type the engine is. On the back of the block on a chevy you will see a vin"where the engine bolts to the bellhousing" A,B,C,D, and so on will be the first letter. A is January, B is feburary and so on. Second #'s is day of manufacturing as in the 20th,21rst, or even 1. The last digit is the year
Code will look like this:
D2385
April 23, 1985
Hope I could help. Be careful some people restamp the front code: the one under the alternator. They do it to sell a 305 for a 350 and so on. The rear # is the best to go by.
I know nothing about the Ford casting #. Above is only chevy

It's all chevy parts but it's parts from a 305, 350, 2.8L and a 3.1L
There's gotta be a site on the net somewhere :)
