I am looking to drop a chip into my Grand Am now that my intake and exhaust are upgraded...I have been looking into a Superchip from Superchips...or a Jet chip....which company has been around longer and is better? I realize that probably no one has a Grand Am that they are tuning on this Forum besides me. But I want to know if anyone has a chip in their car that they can recommend the manufacturer.

He was the winner of the High tech performance magazine shootout!
he does GM's only!
www.fastchip.com
superchip scammed me out of $450
Jet is a module not a chip and it sucks too.It tells the motor fulse info so the PCM trys to compensate.
good luck

horse power tv just installed a JET module and a BBK throttle body on a 97 camaro and picked up 4 HP then the added under drive pulleysand picked up 8HP
JET + BBK= 4HP -$600 from your wallet
Underdrive pulleys 8HP -$80 from your wallet
accel 30#injectors 2HP -$250 ouch that hurt
what a waste of money!
the pulleys do save on the life of the power stearing pump by lowering its RPM. but the AC dosnt pump as cold of air as before!

LT1 motors have the water pump run off of the cam. They have a unique reverse flow cooling system that cools the heads before the bottom end for increased performance.

As for electric waterpumps for grand ams I dont no!
check mezeire or CSI

I have a civic si that would crush your Grand Am or whatever car you think is tough. I was also an American car guy until technology came around and made the import a more practical car to buy and create into a race car. The technology around for these cars is cheaper and better than all of the old technology for the American cars.

intake, pulley, cam gears, supercharger, thats it. she's running 14.30's at 95 with a fuel management problemand street tires. So I know she's capable of much more once I get her fixed.

I'm not going to be in Florida till January. I am moving there because my cousine owns a performance shop in Jacksonville. I am going to work with him. He told me he only wants to employ family there.

Where in Florida are you? Where you in Orlando last saturday at the show? I was there!

Let me know.

Bah humbug. Buy a TT Supra then I might give you respect. I and every other Z28 could beat you stock. I am not stock. You better stick to racing Ford Escorts :P

This form isnt for putting other people down anyway. It is about sharing and learning new things.
