I own a 1991 Chevy S-10 Truck, and some of my friends have told me that the frame form this truck could be used as the frame for a streed rod. I would like to build a 32 Ford Tudor Sedan, using one of the fiberglass bodies that are on the market. My problem or question is, "What or if there is any printed information is out there to start such a project?"

Most of the body builder are set up to supply a complete rolling chassie and body. Would this be the better way to go, or can I use my S-10 frame to start this project?

Has any one built this type of street rod? Using a small truck frame, for a street rod?

This project is in the early planning stages, so almost any information would help.

The good old tape measure will answer some of your questions but one thing pops into my mind. The independent front end of your S-10 frame would look pretty strange in front of the rod. I'm building a '36 Ford which hides the front end so my Mustang II type front en hardly shows, but even a full-fendered '32 doesn't cover much up there. Do what you want, though, that's the beauty of building your own car. My Pete & Jakes chassis is a work of art--if you decide to go that way, check with them.
