I started my project a couple of years ago. It was originally started with the intent of being entered in car audio competitions. It took on it's own life from that point on. It's a 1997 GMC Sierra 1500. Red extended cab short bed 4x4.
Current upgrades are as follows:
5.7L Vortec V-8
Borla headers with a Borla cat-back exhaust.
K&N GenII FIPK
GMS MAF sensor
BBK 80mm Throttle body w/ .5inch spacer
1inch Vortex spacer
Jacobs 8.5mm wires w/ cap and rotor
Bosch Platinum +4 sparkplugs
Crower higher ratio roller tipped rocker arms
JET RISC Computer module
JET 180 degree thermostat
Ohio generator 220amp alternator
ASP power pulleys (soon to be replaced with stock pulleys)
Amsoil 15w40 motor oil. All lubricants are Amsoil synthetics
Red Top Optima battery
Rear disc brake conversion kit by SSBC
3 inch body lift with torsion bars tweaked a little.
33x12.50R15 BFG mud terrains on Eagle Alloy 15x10 589 rims
Bushwacker extend a fender flares
Billet aluminum grill
Front bumper replaced with custom bumper with "frenched" license plate.Painted to match.
Rear buimper replaced with fiberglass rollpan.
Snugtop "Topgun" Fiberglass bed cap. attached to cab of truck with sealed boot.
Lund supertruck truck steps.
V-tec "frenched" taillight covers.
Windows tinted except for driver and passenger door windows and windshield.
that's pretty much it for the upgrades for right now.
I do have a fiberglass air dam for the front that hasn't been put on yet. but it will be soon.
I was thinking about getting a supercharger for it.
I was looking at the ATI procharger, it is intercooled and self contained and seems to have everything you need for a clean install. Plus a shift kit for the tranny.
Let me know what you think of it so far.
I fogot a couple of things, because it is going to carry alot of weight I had the rear springs re-arched and added a couple of springs, so now it has basically a 1 ton rear end in it. Upgraded the shocks to the Edelbrock IAS's and the front brakes have Powerslot rotors and pads. The brake fluid is Valvoline synthetic DOT 4.
It also has an airbrushed tailgate with different scenes in it.
The rear seat was also modified, about 14 inches was taken out of the middle and then put back together to allow room for the audio equipment that is going to be installed.
