I am trying to remove hard water spots from the windows and paint of my daughters car. I have tried vinegar and water, vinegar and denatured alcohol and a water mixture and a single edge razor blade (on the windows).
Nothing seems to work. The spots on the windshield are very noticeable.
Is there a product or can I make a mixture of somehting that will work. Desperate... Thanks Big T

may not be water spots.... could be acid rain etching... although i've never seen it on glass before.

Try WAX! It always works for me.
Good luck.

PS. Yes, even on the windows, try wax.

Rubbing compound was recommended to me by a glass installation guy. Works great, but use gently just like on paint.

rubbing compound works good sounds like you got a pretty nasty stain there.
a clay bar can actualy pull small particals out of the paint i don"t think it would work on the glass thou???

Bon-Ami worked for me. It got rid of those suctioncup marks on windshield that were OEM. Don't recommend it on the paint though!

try this on your window. mx-7. awesome product!! what you'll need is a pair of gloves, a white scouring pad (NOT GREEN), & some rags. it is some kind of compound with a little acid. don't worry, it's really good. the gloves are for protection, due to the mx-7 might cause some stinging sensation, cause of the acid. i use it on all my cars, & they came off. all you need is some "elbow grease"! when you're done, polish your window with a mild polish, & good as new!! it might leave some scratches, but very unnoticeable. if you use the green pad? guarantee, you'll scratch your window! good luck, & let me know if it worked for you.

also, for the water spots on the car? if the car is not new, try rejuvinator. takes off the water marks, & some discoloration

I had some really bad spots on my windows i used super fine steele wool (0000) and some windex glass cleaner first spray down the glass complety with the glass cleaner then rubb in one direction with the wool pad keep applying the windex to keep the glass wet and watch around the edges and trim it will DUll the finish on most trim and remember to only use on the outside glass..worked for my 67 camaro ss original glass and my elky's hope it works for you! happy wrenching!
