Everyone I found this on-line a few weeks ago! Check it out to save our Pledge!!

American Family Association is joining others in an effort to pass a Constitutional Amendment protecting the Pledge of Allegiance and our national motto, "In God We Trust." This proposed Constitutional Amendment is sponsored in the House (H.J. Res 108) by Rep. Chip Pickering and in the Senate (S.J. Res 43) by Senator Trent Lott. It will protect our Pledge of Allegiance and national motto, and will prohibit judges from declaring them illegal.

To be successful, this is going to take the largest grassroots effort in history. Our goal is ten million signatures! There are several ways you can help:

1. Sign the online petition showing your support of this Constitutional Amendment.

Thanks!

JDAZE, thanks for this post. I signed it immediatley. It's amazing how a few nit-pickers (I know it's their right) can cause such a big stink. I guess the only way to fight back is to cause a bigger stink!

i waited a while to post here because i have mixed feelings about people's rights and the boundaries around those rights. i served in the military to protect the rights of the american people and part of this was to insure the freedoms that we hold dear, i feel that if you don't want to do something that is your right but to push your opinion onto someone else is wrong. i am proud to be a disabled veteran and to have had the privelige of serving the U.S.A. when i was able. (gets off soap box) i want everyome to do what they think is right because that is your right.

I agree with both of you. I'm not trying to "push my opinion" on anyone. I found it on-line and "I felt" people should know. After you read the information it's up to you what you do with it.

Joey

please don't misunderstand, i did not say you were pushing your opinion on anybody, i do like the fact that at least someone is pointing out the fact that there are people out there that want to change something that may/may not need changing. i just worry about the "civil liberties" of those affected by change.

This forum is like a extended family to me, I know get a llife. Believe me, I have a good life and this is part of it. I really enjoy this as much a anything else I do. I have read past post from a few of the members that are knowledgeable and have got what seems like a feel for some of the members. I have made friends on this forum that would be a great loss if I lost touch with. I am excited about the new year rolling in and to a healthy start again. That has not been the case for the last few years for me and I have such a bright outlook of the upcoming year that I have to wear shades!! lol
