I have a 95 T- bird with anti skid brakes and traction assist, but they don't work and both dash lights are on indicating a problem. I have been told that it may be a wheel sensor, but don't know how to test them. Hope you can help thanks

At first I didn't know what you was talking about but I think you are refering to Anti Lock Brakes. If your light is coming on and staying on with conjuction of other lights first check your battery. The ABS requires substantial amount of electricity to work. When your battery starts to "die" first thing that is shut down is the ABS then accessories like CD and such goes next. Check your battery before any other test is done. I have seen myself many, many cars that the ABS light comes on and the only thing that is wrong is the battery.

Once you check your battery and charging system and it is good I would put the engine on an Engine Diagonistic Test machine. This is relatively cheap for what it does. Usually around 35 dollars for a code reader. It will tell you exactly what is wrong within the car. Dont trust here say when your dealing with ABS. ABS is a very sensitive system. You really cant tell if it is a sensor or something major just by looking at a bright light on your dash unless a code reader is hooked up making the light blink.

good luck
