I'm looking at a 125 to 150 shot for my 6 sp 97 Z28. I currently have a 383 LT-4 motor.

They didn't mention anything about timing retard. My understanding is that you have to retard timing 2 degrees for every 50 hp increase from the N20.

I also understand you need to switch to colder range plugs and platinum plugs are not to be used.

I found it interesting that they did not install a window switch to set the rpm the N20 activates and deactivates. This seems like a good idea especially since the GM rev limiter cuts off fuel rather than spark. I would have also thought that they would have went with a bigger fuel pump and a cutoff safety switch in case you loose fuel pressure. As you can guess, the last thing I want to do is run too lean while on the bottle.

What do you folks think?

Well I have a 99 Corvette and have followed this discussion on several other forums and I would not install a nitrous system in my car without the windowing hardware.

We have found that you can run up to 150 hp on a stock vehicle with no problem. The only thing that you MUST do is change your spark plugs. You will need to go 1-2 steps colder and to a non-platinum plug .035 on the gap. As far as the revlimiter I think that GM shuts off spark instead of fuel. While the car was on the dyno we were all over the limiter with no problems. The car atually has a window switch on it. Any more questions please let us know.

Yes, you definately need cooler plugs. I use the NGK tr6's in my 98.

Also, on a wet system like this would a fuel pressure safety switch be a good idea?

It is a great idea. That way if you have any fuel pressure issues ie. bad pump, cloged filter etc, the N2O system will shut off.
