increase horsepower

I have a small block 400 in my 69 camaro. I was wondering how to improve my horsepower with out taking out the whole engine.
I would like to run faster then a 15 sec 1/4 mile. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

That thing should run 13's at least stock. Do you even know what your talking about???????

my advice is gears, higher TCI stall, transgo shift kit , stiffen the rear suspension,1 3/4" headers with 2 1/2"dual exhaust, MSD or crane ignition box, NEW plugs- cap-wires- coil, some drag radials, fresh intake and carb.
then maybe a cam that matches the stall, gears, intake and carb setup!
electrical cooling fans and underdrive pulleys will let it rev faster
