What brand of wiper blades or wiper refills do you folks use? I haven't found any brand lately that's performs well out of the box or lasts more than a month or two. They seem to get hard and lose their ability to conform to the windsheild contour. Then they start to chatter. I clean the windsheild with Dave's mix (vinegar, alcohol and distilled water) and apply Rain-X regularly.

If you use rain x, do you even need wipers? Heh. I hardly ever use my blades when I have rain x on. Other than this time of the year when those darn Love Bugs get their love juice all over my windshield.
Oh, and on one of my cars I use the smart blades. Seem to work well.

bosch and trico are also good, i just grab whatever my hand comes across when i need new ones. plus i use the rain x on the outside and antifog on the inside so blades arent that important

I've had good luck with Trico and Anco blades. ;)

You guys replace the wiper blades? Wow!!! I just throw the car away when the blades go bad or steal some from an old car at the junk yard. LOL :D
Seriously, I grab whatever is on sale. I replace the whole cartridge too. Way faster.
RainX doesn't work well on my Bronco II. I think it is because the sun visor disrupts the airflow over the windshield. Either that my 4 year old bottle of RainX has gone bad.

I use the Bosch as well, but still after about 6 weeks or so they are just as bad as the ones I took off. I almost wonder if someone has traded me while I was at the mall or something. And beefy, I can relate to the 4 year old Rainx haha.

Bry, I got this question for you, probally a dumb one but here goes anyways. Are you a producer with a great job on the set that deals with cars or are you a car guy with a great producer's job. I have heard you mention several differant cars and likes and dislikes and like to commend you on your goal if indeed you are the car guy with the ultimate job. Of course I know that we dont know the half of it from this end, but up front it looks like it would be a great job to have.

rain x works great for me but trying to find a good wiper blade is a big problem. The last pair I bought were pretty expensive and didn,t last all that long.they sure don,t like the snow up here

-Lexor makes a pretty good wiper blade.
-You have to remember that as your car gets older and starts picking up some small stone chips and other small nicks in the windshield, the blades won't last as long.
-If you use a silicone blade, they will last longer but sometimes they are a little harder and can chatter as they wear.

OH, I thought I seen a Bronco pulling off the other day with the squirters on. Jeep wipers wont work on a Bronco as a Jeep has never took any crap off a Ford..lol

Look at it this way s10, anything off a jeep going on a Ford has to be an upgrade. LOL ;)

Yea, I guess your right there Vettonr, them poor ole' Ford owners need to scrape and claw all they can. Who am I to deprive one of them from saying " got some wipers from a Jeep" :D
