I have a car 87 nissan thats been sitting in the garage for about 7yrs without a start. What maintanance should I do before pulling it out onto the road so I can get it ready to sell. Thanks,

I would drain the oil, coolant, and fuel and replenish them. Check the tires for dryrot. Change the belts and hoses. Also change the fuel filter because all the sediments have settled in the bottom of the tank. Put a 5w30 for a quick build up of oil pressure on the start. If possible prime the oil system before startup but not necessary.

good luck

I WOULD DO EVERYTHING WILEY SAID BUT DON'T FORGET THAT THE GAS MIGHT NOT BE ANY GOOD.YOU MIGHT HAVE TO REPLACE IT.

I would also drain the gas tank as 7 year old gasoline has probably gone bad. The fuel line may also need to be cleaned out before you replace the filter.

Just curious but what kind of nissan is it? 180, 240, 280, 300? Do you know what engine it has in it?
