I am into muscle car era everything and anything about it! I live, dream, eat, sleep, walk and talk cars. My dad lived during the best era and has told me about the good times on Woodward Ave in Detroit. I would like to find tons of information, but anytime I type (Woodward Ave) it brings up present day stuff. I would like to know about the 70-80's hot-rod, muscle car movment on Woodward.
Stuff like:
Addison Sunoco - Silver Bullet
Gratiot Auto Supply
Boothe Arons
Boyd Speed
Lemonaid sponsorded car
13 and Woodward Ave- Big Boy
13 and Woodward Ave- Northland Center
Links to websites, dvd's, anything that talks about historical woodward im intrested!
Thanks Dan.

I think there was at least one story in there from old Woodward.

Welcome Motorhead24-7. Go to www.woodwarddreamcruise.com to get some links to the past, or, do a google search for woodward avenue and I'm sure you'll come up with a lot of history.
BTW, since you're from this area, I'm sure you're aware of the Cruisin' Downriver cruise at the end of June. Some of the members on here gather at a designated spot on the cruise route to hang out and take in the sites. Keep an eye out in this off topic area for info to come. You can also check out www.cruisindownriver.com for more info on the cruise itself.

Motorhead go to a search engine (yahoo, askjeeves, google etc...)and type in
history woodward ave detroit. I just did this on yahoo.com and came up with quite a few sites. I was born and raised in Detroit 50's-70's. I used to cruise (race  )down Telegraph. It was a lot of fun.
