I recently saw a TV infomercial for a product called Tornado.
This product fits in your engine's intake and helps create turbulence in the intake air stream before it gets to the carburetor or injectors.
The TV ad implied that it was tested and endorsed by the Hosts on Crank & Crome or Shadetree Mechanic.
Is this true?

I dont "remember" seeing it being advertised on Crank and Chrome.
I'm a big fan of shadetree mechanic, everyone knows by now, i was going through what i had on video tape and i think i recall them just saying its a new product at the end of the episode. I havn't seen all the episodes so i cant say i seen them install it on the car.
try going to tornados website there might be an old pic of shadetree mechanic with the guys holding up a tornado, i did use search engines and found a lot of companies that still refer to ShadeTree promoting their products.

The product was never "endorsed" by Dave or Sam. They can only say "As seen on"... If you really did see this as saying they endorse it, we would love to know.

Saw it again EARLY this morning. The infomercial only states "As seen on these shows".
The search on their site shows the wrong engine size and number of cylinders for my vehicle.............not worth the hastle of sending stuff back and forth.
I would really like to see one before installing between the filter and intake..............wouldn't want my engine to ingest things that are bad for it...........like metal.

I have not try'd a tornado myself but I have many bad things about them. So now I am hesitant to try to use one. I also heard of an invention called the E-supercharger. Its a fan that hooks up to the intake and has a 1psi boost. Has anyone used or heard of this invention I know the URL its. www.electricsupercharger.com I already heard its no good on my engine. I have a 2.3 quad four but I am sure you High Performance guys are laughing about that right now. I just want to know if that thing is a joke or what??

I have a 1990 Toyota 4runner V-6. I have a K&N filter and the Tornado. Now I'm getting 220 miles out of a tank as opposed to 180 miles. On the highway I'm getting 260 out of a tank. I'm under the impression that this tornado device works on certain vehicles. I guess with mine it works fine. I was real skeptical at first, but I would have only been out 10 dollars if I had to return it.

Please post after a few tank fulls of gas! Everyone is a little light footed while watching gas mileage.
