Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my camshaft for my Ford Contour GL 2.0L 16V and ran into an interesting problem. When I was ordering a camshaft, the sales person said that the cam should be the last thing I should upgrade then gave me a sales pitch for one of their packages, but I'm not looking to upgrade my entire engine. I'm going to get a air intake, exhaust, upgraded computer chip and probably some new heads. I want to get a lot more power out of my little engine. I'm wondering if I should get these products in a specific order since I'm not going to be getting them all at once or if it will really matter.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would do the intake/exhaust first.

When changing a cam, i dont know anything about your engine, but was the guy refering to new valves, rocker arms, stems etc..??

The sales person was refering to the valves, but the way he said it sounded like he was just trying to sell me a package for a intake and exhaust for $1100.

Thanks for the reply.

Could anybody tell me how to make sure rear end is lined up to drive shaft after changing leaf springs, went from mono leaf to multi leaf and rear end may have moved on me.
