Cj7 Engine Swap

258CU IN. IS BLOWN 4 SPEED TRANNY IS STARTING TO GO.I WOULD LIKE TO GET A WHOLE LOT MORE POWER OUT OF MY JEEP. I AM LOOKING FOR SOME HELPFULL ADVICE ON WHAT WOULD GO SWEET WITH MY BABY CJ7.LOOKING TO CHANGE 4 SPEED TRANNY ALSO WHEN I DECIDE WHAT STYLE AND SIZE MOTOR TO GO WITH. THANX FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE.

I just finished stuffing a 283 Chevy into my '55 CJ-5... It actually almost fit. I bought conversion motor mounts and an adapter kit to bolt the 3 speed to the motor. I also had to have a custom radiator built. Man is it fast! Its actually scary. It would probably be easier to put a V8 in your CJ-7 because the engine compartment is about 10 inches longer than mine. Advance Adaptors probably has everything you'll ever need to do something like this. Good luck!
