ID this Rear

I am trying to ID a rear in my 55 Belair. it is a 10 bolt with the casting nnumber of 1243779 on one of the webs. It is a coil based rear not leaf spring

Does any know where I can find info relating to where this rear came from, and any specs on it.

Got to figure that some how it would come back around.

Now the next part is does anyone have the dimensions backing plate flange to backing plate flange or where I can find this. The Current 8.5 10 bolt rear I have is about 3 or so inches to wide (don't go there again). And before I spend money having it narrowed I am looking to see what I can use

Thanks for any info that is posted

Getting back OFF track, let's do a survey:

What's your favorite rear end.....

1) The Ford 9 inch

2) J. Lo

3) Fill in the blank
