54 Chevy 3100 eng s/n

I have a remanufactured engine in my 1954 Chevy 3100 pickup and am trying to identify the engine displacement, year it was manufactured, etc. A tag on the block shows that at one time a company called "Central States" remanufactured the engine with some info on the pison o.s, rod bearing and main bearing. The engine's serial number is 0786595F54Z. Supposedly the 54 had a suffix of F54Q. I could not locate the casting number on the block. Any hep would be greatly appreciated.
