Show Suggestions
OK, here's your chance to make a suggestion. You have to remember that we shoot these shows in one day so a lot of things just aren't feesible. What kind of things would you like to see.
Try and keep it to one post per person. You can always go back and edit your post. We are working on planning 26 episodes and I need some ideas. Thank you in advance. I don't want to clog up the thread writing thanks to everyone individually. |

Jrobb, If you are big into trucks you and I need to talk. I am looking for a s-10 rolling chassis (no motor) to start for my 11y/o.
my dad is from south Missouri and we bought a couple of 55-57 chevys in the searcy area when i was in high school 20 plus years ago. If you dont mind, send me an e-mail. wdwdixie93@aol.com scott |

I would like to see a show that has an S-10 getting fixed up. Some examples are lowering it, adding a new performance exhaust, cowl hood, and a few other goodies.

I don't know if this is a bit mad but what about a project where you tweak a big V12 and transplant it into a drag car project, instead of a V8, it would be different(since everyone uses V8s).

Show Suggestion
I agree that more shows on OBD 1 & OBD 2 diagnostics is always usefull. Also, something on converting vehicles to later electronic fuel injection systems and transmissions, etc., for instance showing what would be involved in a complete power train upgrade from a wrecked late model truck into an earlier one. Auto trans. overhauls and ring & pinion swaps would be good too.

sam and dave have always been able to offer a nice variety of projects for their audience. i think they still do that.
the types of projects that appeal to me are those that i can accomplish myself without having to purchase expensive equipment or services. you should focus on do-it-yourself type of jobs. occasionally provide segments that show us the professional jobs so we are able to make informed decisions when we need to their help. limit projects on vehicles without wheels.... ie. boats and snowmobiles (it doesn't snow in tampa anyway). i'd like to see a little less product sales during the work segments. they should revamp there coffee break/sales segment...be less casual and show more items here (read: delete bad coffee discussion, insert sell car parts). keep up good work. |

budget hotrod
take a 96 caprice 9C1 police cruiser 3k at auction and build a budget Impala supersport clone!!!25K
the car is ready, 4 wheel disc, 350LT1 vette motor, oil cooler, tranny cooler, power steering cooler, brake coolers and a HD frame, reverse flow cooling and the water pump is driven by the cam not a belt! There is a national organization based in Florida! www.impalaclub.com Tim Allen ownes a couple 96 impala's! Dale Jr ownes one! master P the big time rapper/ producer has one! Its the endanger species! the last full sized American rear wheel drive muscle car! 260 hp 330lbs torque 5.7l OHV 350ci LT1 The car has a very restrictive exhaust 4 mufflers and the air intake has three chambers and starves the motor for air. You could add a K&N FIPK, catback exhaust( h ooker-borla-dynomax-flowmaster-edelbrock) Then add some lowering springs with some 17" rims and swop in a set of bucket seats! I had to space the h ooker cause the naughty words settings are to high.LOL Last edited by 4DR-SS; 01-12-2002 at 03:07 AM. |

How about on the next engine build you dedicate one episode to calculating compresion ratio with the cheapest most accurate tools you can find or even better how to build your own.
And how the ratio will effect camshaft selection, spark plug heat range and gap, voltage requirement, octane requirement, and most important how to control detination. Last edited by chevy; 01-14-2002 at 07:41 AM. |

You should do a show on doing a spring over conversion on about a 1980 Jeep CJ-7 or CJ-8, or something on Jeeps in general, theres such a broad spectrum of small and large upgrades that are very common among jeeps
