RIP

Since I dont know a lot about him. I guess he was sick during the show? I remember one episode where Sam was being more helpful then usual. It's really sad. And I was getting to know him more since he became the newcommer. If they do air more episodes, if they did a tribute show of Dave, and who he was.

I haven't had a chance to watch the show lately but looks like he stuck it out until the end. A lot of folks couldn't do that.

Rest In Peace Dave

I was equally shocked when I saw that. I watched the entire show, didn't really think anything of the fact that he wasn't there. I know sometimes Daves off doing something else (or another project in one of his many jobs)... but then as it got right to the end, I fast forwarded the TiVo, and I noticed there were a lot of shots of Dave McBride, and then I saw the black screen with the picture. The words were blocked at the bottom, but it was the same thing they showed when the Moser family had their tragedy right after the show (about 2 years ago I think). I watched that part over and just couldn't believe it. I had no idea, I never suspected anything.

I too would like to see a tribute show of sorts. It would be nice to see his background, where he came from... maybe they could start a new project on one of his cars that maybe he was unable to finish?

Humm works for me danny lol. I guess that is possible if alot of people are watching it at once. It is the ending of Episode 601 where Sam is alone. And a tribute to Dave McBride. Shows some great shots from some very good shows with Dave McBride, Especially the one part where Dave is in a car with a mug of beer. I figured I post it here so people that may have missed it, can see it. I will setup a file here shortly on youtube.

Sending out condolescences.

My condolescences go out to Dave Mcbride and his family. Dave passed away on April 18, 2007. My heart goes out to the Two Guys Garage staff and to the Speed channel staff as well. My thoughts are with you today and may Dave rest in peace. God bless.

My sincere condolences to Dave's family and his extended television family. This is indeed a shocking event, and especially; as apparently only a few knew of his condition. For Dave to do shows, evidently so close to his demise, is a tribute to a man who lived life to his fullest, with demeanor and grace. Rest in Peace Dave, you are a quality act in my book and will be greatly missed.

Couldn't have put it better myself C&C, he's a tougher man than I was. Doing his job while fighting this horrible disease. My condolences to his family, God bless you Dave.

Wow! I'm away for a few days and return to hear this horrible news. At first For a brief moment, I thought it was the other Dave due to extended absence without explanation. But look at this picture of Dave McBride. He looks healthy and happy as can be.
I too truly extend my condolences to Dave's family and his TV family.

I think the pefect tribute would be for Dave Bowman and Sam to set aside a show for the life and times of Dave McBride. It would also be great for all of us to learn more about Dave's life. Bigbry? any insight?

Rest in peace Dave, you will be missed.
