The STS has been rwd since 2005 and is one heck of a car but I'll admit that some other problems have been reported with the new model as well. Both the V-6 and V-8 are still offered and both perform well (though I hear that when the model run ends, the Northstar will be dropped as the DTS and the STS will eventually be replaced with the XTS) and no immediate V-8 will be offered in the standard model. The 'V's' will be powered by variants of the Chevrolet 'LS' engines (not a bad thing).
Lincoln is trying to claw back to their former glory (not there yet IMO but getting there). Cadillac needs to maintain the momentum they have achieved in the last ten years in order to be world class. Will Lincoln join the group; too soon to tell. p.s. Check out my avatar, it is my STS V-6; best car I've ever owned (but I'm only one tree in the forest so take my evaluation for that, one man's view).
