PROJECT QUESTIONS / PICS for AIR!!!

We are going to start closing the show with some pics of our viewers projects and answer a few questions here and there. Questions can be about whatever you like. If you have a project car that you'd like to have shown off on the air, post some pics here. Something you've always wanted to know? Question about your project? Have at it.

These won't be slipped into the show for a few months. But we'd love to see what you all have to offer.

As a disclaimer, ANYTHING posted in this thread will be allowed to be shown and/or discussed on the air.

Ok, ok. Here's some photos of the engine swap we did on the vette. The project was a great Father/Son learning experience.
Here's what we started with....

Old one coming out......

Prepping the new one......

Almost ready........

Looks great! How much difference do you have in power now then you had with the other engine? Hard question to answer I know.

Was that a crate engine from GM? I can't remember.

The difference in power was amazing. It had a stock L48 in it. I haven't had it on a dyno yet, but I'd like to.
I got it from a local engine builder. The block came out of a '76 Nova and was bored 30 over, new crank, pistons, heads, clutch, and a nice cam. The only thing I reused was the intake (an Edelbrock I had the car before), carb (same story), and distributor. The rest is all new. It was a fun project!

Now THERE's a car worthy of being on the TGG show.
Al I knew what Frosty was like before the transplant.
I get first dibs at shotgun next time we're out.

BTW I almost lost my video camera last time Vetteonr popped a shift on me. Could'nt wipe that smile off his face

Gotta let us know the airdate when it happens

Al, great pictures, story and definitely deserving if they start a new segment as they are suggesting.

But I think, BigBry and the Show, would need more submissions before they could start a segment like this (so that it could be reoccurring) so I'm thinking we need a whole lot more imput to this thread.

How about it, as I'm typing this message, a few outstanding examples might include Dawgs '69 Camaro, Olddogs Cobra and I'm also remembering dougfresh's Corvette. Bring them on; the way I read the thread they probably have to be in this thread to be considered (as just having posted pictures elsewhere in the Forum wouldn't be sufficient to be considered). Wish I could post something myself; just don't have anything I consider worthy (well, maybe my FJR-1300, are motorcycles elligible).

So let's get this thread populated and see what happens. And thanks Al (vetteonr) for getting things started.

Obviously Chuck is right. We all know there are tons of projects out there.

BigBry or Sam & Bryan need to flog the concept of the website and more importantly the forum.
Gee maybe it's time for Sam & Bryan to start posting here, since this forum is basically about their show. Let's get some interaction between the show hosts, the viewers, the forum members and the gaggle of people that have followed TGG over the years.....[thinking out loud]

Or, maybe have BigBry show his face in a small segment for the forum contenders: BigBry sorta knows the many of forum based members better than Sam or Bryan and BigBry (too many Bry's?), Nah, we had Dave and Dave.

Yeah, I'd like to see a little more interaction between the show and the website. I think it would be fun to talk to these guys on here.

Thanks for the kind words porky. If you guys come down here for the cruise this year, you have first dibs on a ride!

We do need to see more projects on here that you guys are working on or have completed. One that comes to mind is Corv8's (Al) project that put a 350 in his corvair. That was awesome!
