s-10 clutch?

i have a 89s-10 4x4 that needs a new clutch and i was curious if anyone has done one in the past and really my only concern is if the transfer case has to be seperated or not so anyinfo on this would be greatly appreciated.

you can take the trans and transfer case out as one unit but it is easier(my opinion) to take them out separately. i had an '88 s-series 4x4 and did it this way-not too hard.
