help

i got a cougar i,m redoing and i,m taking the motor out and i,m been trying to get to the bolts betwwe the trans and the motor with just about everything i could think of with b bars you name it and the space is so small to get in there do you have any suggestions on the on how to get it out

i found the easy way a litle more work is take them out together lot less headache good luck

it helps a million if you have a lift to raise the vehicle but if you dont you can still do it. I would disconect the drive shaft and support the tranny and remove the cross-mamber. This way you can have the tranny and engine slope downward then you can get some long extensions long enough to clear the tranny and hit it with an air gun or your ratchet or whatever.

Drop the exhaust system from the manifolds, use a long, about 36 inches, 3/8 drive extention with a 5/8 swivel socket. NOT the swivel socket that looks like it has a u-joint in it, but a good ball type swivel socket.
Have you removed the torque converter bolts yet? Use the vehicle starter to rotated the converter, it makes the job much easier.

hi to all

well what i have did so far is i have took all the bolts from the toque converter out already and by the way the car has been jacked up just to where it is off the ground and well i have tryed everything for exxcept to take them out together i think it might be better that way what you think its a you know what, and i,m doing othere things to the car but this is the number one thing right now

you a ford man i have had three stangs and two cougars and tow bronco full size and i,m trying to sell one of my bronco if you know anybody let me know
