I've always been partial to the Cragar SS. Especially on older cars. Go to ebay and search under car parts and accesories and type in cragar. There is a lot there.

You can still go to ebay and get to parts: car and truck, then type in your wheel size, and hit search. You'll get all types of wheels and prices, mostly affordable.

Chrome plated wheels were a style in your cars era. Came standard and reversed rim to show more chrome (deep dish)
Reversed widens the track but messes with the front end geometry. the wheel will jerk the steering wheel when entering drive way ramps. Should be cheaper than mag types.

wheels

I know I am way off line here, I do honor styles of anything, I have my own Ideas on the way things should look and it dont matter what everyone thinks, its your car. I myself think that clean black rims with white letter tires and chome lug nuts look great, my son could vouch for that as he tells me often that he always remembers me painting my rims.

Yeah but I am not like alot of the kids in my era. I care about how the car runs what makes it work not just rims and air bags (newer way and cheaper then hydraulics) Thanks for the tip though

You might try some salvage yards, you may hit the jackpot.

around here and I am sure alot of places, Pawn shops and the like have wheels and tires, and for just wheels, I have taken alumnium cans to the metal recycler and seen some awsome wheels that are junked for the current price of scrap alumnium. Its worth a try when you are on a budget, on alumnium wheels, use caution, they need to be torqed to the proper spec. and if they were not could be hard to get balanced

you would be surprised

with the technology of the inter net and the other tools of connection, I have ran into people that knows some of the same people I do in the salvage industry. I have been out of it for awhile now, but many yards are family affairs and are just plain lucky. If I won the lottery I would buy into the junk yard industry in a heart beat. I look at the days spent there and miss them.

I hate the ones that lock their yards. Like you can use them. There is one close to me that has a ßhit load but they dont sell anything in them. They just make lil car block out of them. And I am talking cars worth 10 grand and up they just scrap 'em errrrrrrrr why are they so mean
