need help

Hello to all;
I am new to this and always watch the show. My problem is this. I have a 92 Pontiac Firebird Convertible, during one of the shows that aired in February they mentioned a place to where you can get parts for Pontiacs. I really would appreciate any help with the availability of parts for this 3rd edition pontiac. I have been slowly rebuilding it and am just about ready to go the rest of the way with it.Any and all help would greatly be appreciated

You can get any part you want right from the GM dealer. 92 isn't old enough to have to worry about availability of parts...the dealer has them, or can get them.

You could try some of the more advertised web sites, like yearone.com or classicindustries.com

Another one I found was http://www.pontiacautopartx.com/

Just go to google.com and search for "pontiac parts". There's pages of them.

SLP performance was created for Pontiac, Chevrolet F- body cars. They were the ones who prepare the Firehawk for Pontiac. They sell performance engine parts, body parts, wheels, for the F-bodies. This would be the place to go for Firebird parts, Pontiac does!

My Ford dealer recently and patiently explained to me that they only carry replacement parts for 7 years. Not the 20 years that I stated they should. He said that was an old wives tale. The longest they ever carried any parts for was 10 years but they stopped doing that many moons ago.

Hopefully, GM has a better policy.

gabby, I got your e-mail. The bumper cover is still available at the dealer or through a local bumper shop. Also ask the bumper shop for ground effects.
Also, check with any body shop, they too, have the resources you need.
