no start

'90 corsica will not start. get gasoline
going 'backward' to air filter. when throttle plate manually opened gasoline pors ou5t of opening. any ideas?

Hmmmmm.....
Don't sound good.
You might try a compression check. Maybe a burnt / broken intake valve????? You could unplug the electric fuel pump and listen for air (compression leak) coming thru the intake when you crank it.

Are you saying that fuel is going into the airfilter and not down the throat? And when you open the throttle, it pours out? Just gotta get it straight..
