68 Fire Bird

Hey Guys,

Got a couple of questions....

Saw this 68 Fire Bird during the Easter holiday...guy states he has 26,000 in it and wants 13,500....Well this all sounds fine, but is there any way to check out vin numbers or numbers on the block. What should I look for....

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate the help...

If everything turns out to be on the up and up, and the car is in mint condition, then $13,500 is in the ballpark. Have him show you ALL the receipts for the work he did. If he doesn't have anything, then I would be suspicious. Nobody puts that much into it and not have any record of it.

i didn't catch the mileage? you said he invested $26k? he wants $13.5? the value of any vehicle is with the buyer, the sellers' usually settle for less as it is a buyer's market. if this car is in real good condition and all the front bushings and suspension components are new(er) then i would think that negotiations should begin-that is if you really want this car. you know how much money you have to spend so try to get the best deal you can. good luck.
