Is it a dumb idea to add 2 stroke oil to my truck's gas ?

I know this is kinda a dumb question but bear with me here, I sold my boat & have a couple gallons of Yamalube 2 stroke oil. This is expensive stuff & hate to waste it , my lawn mower's a 4 stroke & dont own a weedwacker.. My friend told me it would be good for my pickup's engine if I added a couple ounces to the gas now & then , {truck's a little 94 Mitsubishi with F.I. }.
What da you think, dumb idea ?

My concern is it may foul the plugs or screw something else up.

thanks in advance for any reply's ,

Alan

It wouldn't hurt, but it sure won't help anything either....

Don't put in too much. The 2 stroke oil will just put oil in the top of your pistons where normally it's under your pistons.

Wouldnt help @ all ?

Maybeeeee prevent rust from forming in the gastank fuel lines or fuel pump or act as a top cylinder lubricant ..

Or am I just reaching a little here ? LOL
One thing I bet it would do is make her smoke a little ..
Oh well, thanks for the replys..

Used to add it to a carbed engine with no problem, but it might not be good for injectors. A two stroke needs a very hot spark to keep from fouling the plugs, they still look like h e l l

How true Rapideo,

my Yammie outboard's NGK's always were oil coated. Also hence the reason I mentioned the truck was injected, good point ,
thanks....

Actually I was putting 50to1 mix in the truck not just oil only.

If you have that much why not put it in a classified and get some of your money back.

Iwouldn't do that it might screw up the o2 senser and the cat. converter. put in the paper and sell it is the best idea for it.

more good points, makes sense..

Thanks Mr. Gearhead !
I'm considering buying a little skiff again now afterall .. I miss the fishing & being out on the water, besides that I have so much tackle & boating gear that I might as well put it to good use....
