Junkyard Wars

We all watch monster garage and with all the freebies it seem that anyone could make some of those things on the 3k budget. Well I have been watching junkyard wars for a few years (at least 5) and they most they have done is new host and restock the junkyard. No budget no week to build it, just stuff you would find in any junkyard and some basic tools. Anyone else think they junkyard wars is any good?

Yea, I like it as well. There is no fighting on it and is a pretty realisitic type of show.

You guys don't think they "plant" the junkyard with stuff needed for the project, right?

Don't get me wrong, I like the show, too! But when they just happen to find a roll of mylar film with enough left on it to make a blimp, it makes you wonder, don't it? Or three perfectly good propellers of the exact size needed...

And wrestling is a real sport, too!

By the way, I am too old and used up to Wrestle. Please don't take me up on my offer to wrestle.

Ture there is a little help given. But no where near the amount on monster garage. When buildin some stuff there are a few special things that are need. But none of it is from a factory and alot of the time the have to make it work.

Good point though

Junkyard Wars does 'salt' the yard some, (for details look at the steam car challenge) but not to badly most of the time (and it's great to see one team use a chunk of a previous shows project for their build) mostly what they do is get the junkyard to skip some of the stripping that they would normally do.

prior to this year the teams didn't know what they were going to build before the day of the show, but the experts did and got a chance to present a plan that needed stuff, sometimes that stuff would show up in the yard, sometimes it wouldn't (and sometimes the scavangers couldn't find it when it was there
