what are the best quality product brands?

Hey I just wanted to get everyones opinion here on the top product brands for oil, filters, spark plugs & wires.

For the best brands of oil, I heard a lot about AMSOIL, are they as great as they sound? Is there one that is much better? What about Mobil, Penzoil, Valvoline, Quakerstate, Castrol....

Who makes a good air filter? One that filters great but also provides good air flow? Gauze filter vs. paper vs. foam. I hear K&N has great air flow but not so great filtering for the very small particles that harm an engine as compared to an AMSOIL foam filter that filters even better.

Also I wanted to know who makes great oil filters.
ie. WIX, Purolator, AMSOIL...

And last ignition system brands for spark plugs and wires. ie. Splitfire, ACCEL, Bocsh...

I appreciate anyone who has feedback on this, whether their own personal favorite or a proven best.

My opinion (based on something I read) is that all oils are basically the same. Many here will disagree with me. As long as it meets the requirements of your engine your good to go. Synthetics are better then conventional I am told and having recently tried a synthetic blend (Quaker State 4X4) I am impressed with it. 2000 miles on my oil change and it has taken on the color of carmel and is still translucent. My old oil would have been black by now. Air filters? I buy what ever is on sale. They say the K&N Filters make power, this I can not comment on.
Oil filters? I always buy WIX. Don't ask me why, I just do. I have purchased allot of other brands and have experienced no problems. Spark plugs? Who cares. As long as it's clean and sparks it's good. There is allot of confusion about spark plugs. Multiple Ground straps etc etc etc. I do like platinums because they tend to last forever.

Vehicles? As long as it does what you want it to do,and you like it that is what matters.
As for me I'll let you guess what my favorite is. Is my like of this brand based on any scientific study or proven results? No. I just like that color on the emblem.
