Dodge tranny issue

Ok Guys, Here's the deal:

I've got a 1985 Dodge Omni GLH Turbo with the A525 manual transmission. 5th gear grinds. I removed the side cover to investigate the problem, and found part of the 5th speed synchro in the pan.

Now for the question: Is it possible to replace the synchro with the tranny in the car? If so what do I do??

Thanks for any insight to my problem.
