If I know her, she is the one who sent it to you, she is a witty person and I hope she would have pitty going to a battle of witts with a unarmed man.

No, she didn't send me this one. But I'm sure I'll catch hell for trying to get back at women from her.

I am surprised, it is her favorite material! She eats that stuff up when she finds it seemingly.

Ray, how do you work on your cars if you don't have any arms; it says so right in your quote. Basically, what I just said was illogical, right? So that is the same way as I look at those supposedly witty puns that some women use to bash men. (Of course, I know they do it in jest; yeah, right) Anyway, when you see things like that just consider it to be pretzel logic, meaning if you let your mind follow the logic, as they lead you, it makes sense, but if you look at the problem, really logical, it just doesn't hold any water.

I know what you are saying Chuck, but sometimes I have learned to let them think they hold are all the cards.

My wife and I are planning on going next summer, right now we have no other events to go to . we are marking it on our calender so we don't plan anything else.
I hope to drive my car down or if I have to I will tow it. I am looking forward to meeting you all, I spoke to Porcupine on the phone awhile ago when I went to check out a Corvair he told me about and since I went out on short notice I could not meet up with him. I will plan that better next time.

Porcupine

By the way do you still have that Caprice, and do you want to sell it. Do you remember I told you I had a friend that had a rebuilt motor he may sell, well he contacted me a few weeks ago and said he was moving and had a hugh amount of car stuff that had to go, awhile back when I asked him about that motor there was no way he was going to sell it, it was going in his project car and that was that. funny how things change because that motor is now in my garage and will go in my Corvair. and for me it was the deal of the century.

talk to ya later.

Speaking the engine you tell of, years ago I bought a low mileage 66 or older Chevy truck that was built for the use of a wrecker at the factory, it has like a series one foldable rack on the back for towing, I forget the name of it but they are still in the towing buisness today.
The truck was Junk but the motor was a 327 factory 4 BBL. It was a old square carb that when you punched it, it would bounce the passengers head against the back window, just ask my X mother in law
Well I worked in auto salvage, called junkyards at that time, and went in early one Saturday to pull the motor, I had a 74 4X4 Chevy step side 4 speed. Well I pull the motor and set it in the back of the 4x4 on some tires that were junk and keep it from sliding around cause it would be a week before I could install that engine in my truck, we used the fork lift for a engine hoist. Well a week turned into 3 months and finally Chistmas was here and I need more money than I had so I sold the engine and it went into a camaro, headers, slap stick and all the good camaro stuff of the day.
I hated to see that guy running the roads in a engine that sounded and ran stronger than most of the area. We had a industrial road, called the I.D. that every one would run what they had and then scatter for a hour till the police gave up again. They came in their own cars too, off duty or course. Lots of them were older brothers of people my age. We all had fun.
Acourding to the Hollander interchange book of the current time, that engine with its vin # was the very same used in the Corvetts and 1 ton trucks in the day.
I miss the salvage yard days, the things you would come across that you read about now and realize you threw that out. Like the twin snorkle air cleaner that Oldmobile used Factory on their cars. Now you cant find them unless you are willing to pay big bucks. long post I know, but that is the one engine I wish I could have kept.

Porcupine

I really must say that with 300 post and 20 pages so far in this thread you started it was a great way to go back and forth and not get tagged for going off topic.
I think it was a great idea. Thank you.
