mustang gas pump

Hey I have a 2000 mustang and wanted to put in a bigger gas pump because I'v been told that it will give you more power. So I was woundering how big I could or should go. Is a 255 to much for it with out haven a tourbo or supercharger? Thanks for reading.

I have never heard of a bigger fuel pump giving you more power. Anybody else?

i've heard that larger injectors will give more fuel and could increase power but i haven't heard about a larger pump doing this.

Not by itself anyway.

If one were to install injectors with a significantly higher flow rate/pressure, then yes, a higher pressure fuel pump would be in order.

Of course, it is silly to install larger injectors without the appropriate increases in air intake and exhaust, and all that work demands that the computer be reprogrammed for it....

Bottom line:
You can't just change the fuel pump and expect an instant power increase.
