Corvette is a nice car! I would love to have one... but, if you are looking at the after market, the imports have probly the BEST after market out there... There are so many parts available, and the fact that alot of people mod them, the parts are a heck of alot cheaper in comparison to a Vette... If I were you, I would go with the Integra... Best of luck to you... ss

I would go with the Vette. Ya parts will be cheaper for the import but think your going to start with over 300 hp with the vette compared to the 100-150 with an import. Jegs and Summit sell many aftermarket parts for the Vette. Many mods. can be made. Think of how much money it would take for the import to reach 300+ horsepower then think of how much it will take for the vette to reach it. Get my idea, go with the vette. They are super cars that handle the back roads very well as well as going straight at the track. The choice is up to you but if I could afford the Vette go with it. Buy U.S.A. 500 horsepower can be achieved with the vette with ease. Think of that.

Good luck

Not that I am standing up for the Integra. Which BTW is now the RSX. Formerly known as Integra. It doesn't take much to get those cars past 300 hp into the 400hp range. Superstreet had a special issue in August or September. I beleive it had a 475 hp integra in it. Granted that one would cost more to build but 300 is acheiveable with low budget. In comparison $40,000 base price for the Vette 25,000 RSX(Integra) 25 ,000 + 10,000 in mods = 35,000! which could equal 3-400 hp depending on mods. BUT More chicks will dig the Vette and Nothing beats Raw HP rather than assisted. But on my budget I would get the Integra. But if I could afford the vette. No doubt about it!!

I agree with you 16secGA, they are quick cars! You might not get to 4-500 hp, but in power to weight ratio, you are going to be pretty even... ss

you will never be able to make an integra as fast as the vette depending on the year vette you will start with near 300 hp. I think the vette would be more enjoyable better responce and real wheel drive. If you walk in to a bar club or what ever what would you rather say i drive an integra or i drive a vette think about which do you like better I personaly would always chose the vette in any comparison.
Chevy Power all the way

i would go with the vette.

Not that I am standing up for Rice Burners. But obviously you haven't been aware of their capabilities.

danny is on a distinguished road
if i had a vette i would never park it outside of a bar, it would be an invitation for the cops to give me a ticket(for drinking) or at least harrasment

GAWD

What is with this import thing. I go to the track all the time and the only Japanese imports that beat LS1's besides TT Supras are the ones that cant be legally run on the street and are racing STOCK LS1s.

THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!!!!

Thanks and have a good day.

Hey Humanoid,

I just noticed you are in Spring TX?
I am in Austin TX.
Small world? Maybe!

Oh and a guy here in Austin has a 600hp at the rear wheels street driven supra, another guy has a supra that just ran 11 seconds on street tires NO NOS, last weekend. These cars are street legal. So it is possible to make a car faster than a Vette and keep it legal.

Yes, you are right.

In the post above I did mention Supras as an excepton. Those cars are awesome. I fear them much more than vette's in a drag race becuase you never know what kind of power they are putting down.

I had the same thought about a year and ahalf ago and I went out to the Vette dealer test drove it and then went to the Acura dealer and could not test drive, after all the reading and listening i'm now driving a 2001 Yellow Integra Type-R.
Some of the reasons for getting it was the rave reviews it had got in the past and I just wanted to be a different kind of sports car driver, another one was thats is made by Honda and Honda has never let me down with their produts before and still builds a serious car. The Type-R model is so much diff then any other car i have driven and even after 18 month and 25000 miles its still a real kick in the pants! and I have not driven the car for 2 weeks due to work and i'm going to the garage to take it out on this awsome Sunday.

Enjoy your new car whatever it might be!
