2001 Dodge Stratus SE performance tips please?

Hello My name is Lee and I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus SE it has the 3.0L Mitsu Motor with 200HP I also have the 16 in rims and tires. But I am comign here to get some performance tips on how to get my car faster and accel faster I currently am running in the 1/4 mile at 16.382 at 86.39Mph. My goal is to get into the 14's hopefully what does anyone at all recomend for me to do to improve my timing and speed for my car. I also leave the tree at .766. I am not sure if that is good since it seems like we both leave the tree at the same time. So I am unsure of what to do. I know at a speed shop near by they are able to fit me with a universal Flowmaster muffler. But am wandering how much that will improve my performce of the car and also a K&N air filter? What else do you recomend? I want my car to outperform alot of cars on the street around my area.

If you want the K&N to do better, replace the whole air-intake tube with a K&N open air tube. If you want even better, then cut a hole in your fender-well or air-dam and run a tube in as straight a line as possible to your air-box and K&N filter. Make sure you have a fine mesh screen over the end of the tube facing the car's tire or in the air dam. Ta'daaa you now have ram-air...good for an additional 10-30hp! Try a computer chip from JET performance. They run from 200-300 bucks and are a BIG help. You may also try hotter sparking plugs, wires and distributor. These are the best ways to get more ponies without tearing the engine apart. Last but not least, as an afterthought, never buy anything with Mitsubishi parts, Mitsu is probably the biggest maker of garbage out there, you'll probably have engine or tranny problems around 70-100k miles, sorry. Dodge owns part of Mitsu, but should really rethink dumping their asses off on GM or Ford, especially now that Mercedes is trying to put the quality back into the company.

3" exhaust? Isn't that a bit too big for a V6 motor. I know some 400CI V8's that use 3" exhausts. Only 3" exhaust on 4cyl and V6's I heard of are all turbo charged engines. Just wondering.
