S-10 countryboy is on a distinguished road
Changing a 2.8 to a 4.3 Chevy S-10 Blazer

I had an '88 S-10 sport totaled it, but the engine was still good so I bought the body of a '84 S-10 Tahoe Blazer. the '84 had a 2.8. I already changed the rear axle. I have the engine and transmission pulled out of both vehicles.

I am rebuilding the 4.3 while it is pulled.

I bought headers (Brocks ) ,a Crane came and an airaid Throttle body spacer.

One problem I hit was that when I had my cyl. heads done at NAPA they found a crack in one. I am looking in to some performance heads but was wondering if for the cost I might be just as well off getting some used Vortex heads off of some type of a blazer from the mid '90's.

Anyone know if I would have a problem with that?

Any general hints or suggestions.
