Not here much anymore :(

As I had to go out and get a job, I'll not be here as much as y'all are used to seeing me.

I work for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad now as a driver. So much for retirement.

Retirement is not all it is cracked up to be in my opinion. I doubt I will ever retire and be happy.
Good words on your other post, I named my terms for it to disolve to a nothing, but out of line is out of line. I have seen some post myself that seemed like the person should not even drive, but I offered advice because they at least ask. That is the reason for this forum, and I truely think if he decided to not participate anymore it is his loss, with over 700 post he enjoyed being here himself. I wont be run away from here unless I lost complete interest, As long as I can drive I will be typing away as long as I can.

Beefy,
.Retirement sucks anyway

That's where that old term comes into play "Nothing is forever". You'll still be here just not as much as you'd like to be. .

Besides, if you want that new Yeasu ya need money.
Keep posting as much as you can. You're one of the pillars of this forum.

Beefy.....

You workin' out of Galesburg ??

Hope the move went well. Welcome to the land of bad politicians and high taxes. The weather is a little better here and stay out of the Casino's in Davenport.

My neighbor is and Engineer on locomotives (drives the trains) for BNSF. His normal run is to LaCross WI. Occationally he is in your neck of the woods. I'll warn him if ever he gets into your neck of the woods.

You are not far from Burlington IA which is were my Pro Streeter came from originally.

Sounds like you drive the vans that take the crews to and from the hotels and reposition them for crews that are out of hours.......

Anyway....Good luck with the new job and welcome to Illinois.

Very good Gearhead52. You are right on the money. The LeCrosse guys stay at the econo lodge. I transported a couple of them yesterday.

Mostly these railroad guys are good people and it is fun. But, as you know it is God Awful hot.

I am still "In Training" but this is easy. The Yard in Galesburg is massive and difficult to learn but if I don't get run over by a train I'll be good to go.

I find the Logistics and technology involved in this railroad thing to be facinating.

Not a conductor? O well, Id at least ask for a whistle or conductor hat HAHAHA.

Even if its minimum wage or a million bucks, getting paid to drive people around is good. One day I had to drive the shuttle van for the service department because the driver got sick. That was the most fun ive ever had at work talking to all the cute chicks, and MILF's.

IMO, getting paid to do something you like is like part of the wage itself. I would rather do something I enjoy for a living than go in day after day and do something I hated.
