old 390

I have a 1966 ford 390. It's pretty much stock except for the intake, distributor, coil, headers, and carb. My question is do I need to run leaded gas to keep my valves from burnning up?

Thanks
Josh

If it has the original heads you most likely do. You can get lead additive to add to your fuel but in no time your will end up spending more on lead additive than it would cost to bring the heads up to modern specs with different seats and valves or new heads. Last time I saw a price on Lead additive it was quite expensive.
