dumb question but need answer

I think i'm running lean, but not sure. There is no black smoke, but a light colored smoke if I punch the throttle from half throttle and sort of goose it.
Please help.
Josh

You'd get black smoke if you were running RICH. Lean will knock and possibly run hot, sounds like carbon buildup or your burning oil.

You might try pulling one of the plugs and reading it. That should give you a better idea of what is happening.

What color smoke, brown, blue, white, grey? That will give us a clue as to what may be your problem.
