Sam and Mac did an episode on a 68 Camaro interior recently. They used Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric coating. They say the trick is to clean it throughly.

If you've ever used Armorall or similar product on the interior you have to scrupulously clean off all the residual product. It is silicone based and paint just doesn't stick to this. Look for a wax and silicone remover, and be sure to check the container to see if it is safe for vinyl, etc.

Not too much, or hard, though. Will soften and eat the vinyl and plastic really fast.
