Corvette Owner's Unite
I have found a magazine that says that June 24th is drive your Corvette to work day. It has been going on for 5 years now to coincide with the anniversery of the Corvette June 30th, which was the Birthday of the Corvette. The 24th is the closest Friday to the date. I like to read and there is a offering of a FREE catalog if you call 1 800 500 1500 or visit their web site. www.mamotorworks.com Thought with all the Corvette lovers here they may be interested in this article. The catalogs are divided into 3 year specific groups, 1953-82, 1984-96 C4, and 1997-2005 C5/C6 models.

I've been participating in this event since it's inception. You'd be suprised how many vettes are on the road that day. The MidAmerica catalog is just full of parts and accesories, not a lot of reading.
BTW, June 24th is the day before the Downriver Cruise, so you know I'll be out there.

corvette engine
this may not pertane to the subject but we bought an 350 engine from a person just the other day , we took it out of a truck and planned to put it into a 64 chevy after rebuild, ( it had been rebuilt and bored once to 10 over ) after the serial # theres a code CMR , my book says CMR had a 4 barrel , 2 bolt main , and came from a 78 corvette , the person we got it from says it was in the truck when he got the truck..how it got from the vette to that pickup truck i guess i will never know..odd things happen i guess ??

I have a old 427 vette engine laying on a pallet in the shop lol I did have the engine in a old 71 pickup. I got that engine from a vette that had a head on collision. The junk yard sold it to me for 800 bucks. And it didn't even have alot of miles on it.

Haven't decided yet on what to do with it. I wouldn't mind finding a cj jeep and stuff it in there. I put in a 350 in one back in the 80's was a fun toy. I turned around and sold that one to the neighbors kid.
