intake question
Which intake will work best with a set of bowtie heads in terms of matching up ports...I have a performer intake by edlebrock and the ports are too small.
also there is a hood clearance issue...so it shouldnt be a hi rise. |

You didn't say if you going to run this car or truck on the strip or street or both.
In other words, is this a stock engine, what size carb. or is it a fuel injection? You need to match the intake with the engine (how much will heads flow, camshaft, carb.) I suggest you call someone at jegs, summit, eldebrock and tell them what kind of engine you have so that everything can be matched up. I wouldn't buy an intake just because it fit and put it on. JMO Here's some sites to check out! Jegs Summit Eldebrock Hope this helps, Good Luck!

good advice daniel. engine components should be matched for any application. just increasing the intake without increasing the exhaust is not a good thing. everything has to work together in order to get the best performance or desired effect.

Well, since their BowTie heads, I'd check out GM Performance parts:
